I know… a CRAFT you say… really?! Adam, in all our time together you’ve rarely crafted… Well When the folks at Fox Home Insider offered to help kick start my post with some ideas on how to facilitate this “craft”… I said I went to college as an ART major – I got this…
I rolled up my craft shelves and got to work on how I would make a CRAFT based Troll. It involved taking one toilet paper roll and using that as the body. Then using colored paper (cutting it into small 4 inch long strips) or using colored yarn (cut into 4 inch long pieces) and using glue or tape to affix the chosen hair to the tp roll. Drawing a face on the roll then using some construction paper to make an outfit and use straws for the hands and legs.
I gave the same instructions and materials to my son… and WHAM he said – while the Trolls are cool and they’re cute and colorful – I went in a different direction…. I said hmmm ok… what direction would that be… he said with a glee I created a BERGEN. If you havent seen the new movie – the background is Trolls are being eaten by the Bergens (they look like ogres) so they’re kind of like the bad guys in a way… without missing a beat he said arent you proud you always told me to think outside the box.
Well I’m proud, he did think outside the box and now presenting — How to craft a Bergen.
Required Toilet paper roll, straws, color pencils/markers, paper (color or white will work), and finally tape or glue.
Take the piece of paper and draw an outfit or jacket.
Color the outfit in.
Cut the outfit out of the paper.
Take the toilet paper roll and tape/glue the outfit to the roll (leaving 1 inch at the top).
Draw a face on the Toilet paper roll above the outfit.
Take the straw cut into pieces and tape/glue to the base/sides of the tp roll.
Take some more paper and cut into strips take to the top as hair and there you go.

We’ve had three different and incredible delivery experiences over the years (and plenty of ER trips to the PICU) and while the faces and names changed, the amazing staff from NYU Langone Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. The loving and caring support that we received from those nurses never did… When we had our first child we had the nurses help teach us breastfeeding, she even taught me how to swaddle Marc in those first few hours. These nurses became part of our family for those first few days, caring for the new borns and equally caring for my wife.
It’s that great time of year again when CES show us what we’ll be drooling over in the months ahead… last year I talked about the previous iteration of the Bitdefender Box, which blocks connections to malicious URLs and scans local devices for vulnerabilities. 2017 will be a huge year for the IoT (internet of things) there will be more then ever connected smart devices that are really smart devices running different operating systems. I’m betting you’re thinking what whos got one of those… but I’m sure you know a friend with an alexa or an echo the smart devices from Amazon, or an chromecast. Those are all smart devices that could one day be hackable (I really hope not since I have both them but I still feel a lot safer thanks to having Box).
This year we got a peak at the second-generation Bitdefender BOX. It is now running on a 1.2 GHz, dual-core ARM Cortex A9 SoC, backed with 1GB of RAM. According to Bitdefender, the next generation of its hardware security solution can not only secure your smart home devices, but also your home network. By using machine learning to figure out your average internet traffic habits, the Box 2 will reportedly be able to spot any malicious traffic and put a stop to it. Pre-orders for the Box 2 will open up this summer, and shipments are expected to start by the middle of 2017 in the U.S.
I am not the easiest of body types to shop for… I’m not what they typically call off the rack and certainly I’m a far cry from the sample models. I was invited to attend a fashion event and I almost passed up on attending cause really me and fashion weren’t friends… I liked jeans cause of the fit and comfort but boy did that all change. I loved this movie… I really think anyone can see it, you dont have to be a Star Wars fan to know really where this story starts (sure its great to have the backstory but really it does standalone).

She nuzzles with that for a minute walks it over to Harper’s cart and drops it in before making seeing the Princess Zelda plush and doesnt let that go… not even to head to the check out.

Marc is also getting into Yo-Kai Watch so picking up the new Yo-Kai Watch 2 game was pretty easy.
Then of course being a big Nintendo fan we got the newest Super Mario game… Super Mario Maker.
I also highly recommend Just Dance 2017 – its a game the whole family can play!
