There are many devices out there that will store tv content and give you the ability to playback to a mobile device but this month that feature was introduced into the FiOS Mobile App. This feature let subscribers to FiOS Quantum TV and FiOS Internet stream “nearly all” DVR-recorded shows from anywhere with an Internet connection. This is a MAJOR improvement to just be able to watch live streams of whats currently being broadcast.
“The latest innovations of the FiOS Mobile app are how today’s consumers want to watch TV and view content,” Susan Retta, vice president of consumer marketing for Verizon, said in a statement. “These new features allow our customers to take their home FiOS TV experience with them and to enjoy it whenever and wherever they go.”
Eligible subscribers can download the FiOS app from the iTunes App Store or Google Play and start streaming recorded shows immediately. The app also allow for access to thousands of On-Demand titles and on-the-go management of DVR recordings.
This year you can celebrate as a family and still have time for a parents-only party with a whole new set of New Year’s Eve countdowns, available today only on Netflix, designed for preschoolers, tweens and everyone in between. You choose when to say goodnight, and kids choose how to celebrate with their favorite characters.
Already dreaming about pressing play on that New Year’s Eve celebration long before the clock strikes twelve? You’re not the only one. According to a recent survey from Netflix, 9 is the new midnight for parents in the U.S., with nearly half of parents (48%) saying they’d ring in the new year by 9 p.m.
So grab your party hats, noisemakers and 2016 glasses — and celebrate those famous 10 seconds, whether the ball has dropped or not. We won’t tell your kids it’s not midnight if you don’t.
Kids can pick their favorite character or ring in the new year again and again with countdowns featuring Oona and Baba of Puffin Rock, Care Bears & Cousins, Inspector Gadget, the Project Mc2girls, King Julien, or Mr. Peabody & Sherman and all their DreamWorks Animation friends

Life happens, we all understand that – you can be a planner and have shopped for weeks and still be missing some items for people or you could kind of be like me this year and have absolutely nothing ready. I dont even have food for the guests when they come over… So when Sam’s Club reached out and asked if I shopped there I said yes and how can I get involved, which brings me to why I’m writing this piece.
I’m making one stop this year – Sam’s Club … Yup that giant warehouse store that has it all…. I can get some pots and pans for my dad (if you’ve ever seen his pans you’ll wonder what you were eating)… I can get some son the latest and coolest electronics, video games and toys. I’ll get some cute PJs for the girls and some toys.
Plus I can pickup all the food to feed the family. Like that shrimp platter everyone loves (when I say everyone I really mean me).
So here are 5 items I found… Sam’s Club also published their winter catalog that helped things along.
I’ve found them in my local store and well some giant bags of chips later I’m a pretty happy guy. Thats why when I was asked I had no problem writing this article. All thoughts are my own and while I was gifted with a gift card all the picks of products are my own.
