I’m one of those guys that goes shopping and buys the brands he knows… When I was asked to join Bounty for its “Memorable First Moments Birthday Bash” that involved messy art and cake smashes, it was easy to say yes.
Bounty really gets that life is sometimes a little messy and because Bounty absorbs the messes quickly (in fact, it’s 2x more absorbent vs. the leading ordinary brand), you can enjoy the moment not the mess.
I’ve always used paper towels to clean up some split milk on the floor, a messy face after eating pizza, or even those few food splatters when I attempt to cook. At the event they showed me a different side to Bounty, as we not only used it for cleaning up hand painting and cake decorating crafts, but could use it to create color paper towel flower crafts.
Because Bounty is so absorbent the roll can last 50% longer, and can take on more spills and messes, so I could enjoy a few memorable moments with the kids.
Thanks to Big City Moms for sponsoring me to take part in this event.
Mevo where have you been my entire blogging career?! I have asked this question for a few weeks now after I played with the Mevo camera. Mevo is a live streaming camera, that you can connect to your phone’s LTE or directly to a local wifi signal to stream directly to either Facebook Live or LiveStream.
Mevo is the first digital video camera to feature Facebook Live integration, giving the 1.6 billion people that use Facebook the most compelling way to leverage the power of the social platform’s new live video service. Like everything new that facebook pushes out it also takes highlights that new feature in people’s timelines. You can stream from a personal account or a page.
Now who can really use a Mevo – this will be awesome for anyone in the nonprofit space since you dont have a whole AV crew to always setup and breakdown… it takes less then a minute to setup a mevo. I would also say this is a MUST for any blogger. If you’re out there creating content and doing anything with facebook live – this is totally a must have!
I’d also recommend this for teachers/professors imagine being able to simply put a mevo on a stand give a lecture without the need for all this fancy equipment save it to a facebook page and provide the link to your students.
You can connect to your mevo via the iOS app and zoom into different points of the wide view for what is deemed a studio in an app. The app already features built in face tracking it’ll keep the focus and the zoom on that speaker (pretty cool!).
Mevo’s notable product features include:
Live Edit in HD
Live editing on the fly between 6 virtual HD cameras using an easy to use iPhone app, with simple features that include: tap to cut, pinch to zoom, and drag to pan.
Automated editing mode with smart people recognition and movement tracking.
Minimum input/maximum output: 4K Sony sensor captures high quality video, builtin microphone array and DSP provides excellent audio quality.
Effortless Sharing
Stream live in HD with quality and ease – broadcast your event live on the web and mobile via Facebook Liveor the Livestream Platform (optional subscription).
Store now, share later – includes 16GB SanDisk Micro SD card to record and store your video, plus builtin features that make it easy to share your video immediately on websites, social networks or via email.
Cloud connected, WiFi enabled to ensure high quality Internet connectivity.
Simple, Unobtrusive Design
One pocket sized camera does it all.
Stealthy enough to put right on stage with the action.
No rig required – designed to set up in seconds and get out of the way so you can stay focused on the event, not the gear.
Comes with everything you need to start your production, including a mount to attach Mevo to virtually any stand.
I’ve streamed a few press announcements and even an awesome concert by Chris Daughtry. The microphone does a great job of picking up the sound. The autofocusing on the 150 degree 2.8f 4k lens does an great job. I have been really impressed and have been recommending this camera since I’ve gotten my hands on it to all my blogging friends. But really anyone looking to do more with facebook live should have this in their toolbox. If you’re starting a vlog (video blog) or sharing cooking tips on facebook, the Mevo makes it soooo simple…. it really is a studio in a box.
Having an 8 year old getting up early in the morning to head off for 3rd grade, followed by my two late morning risers of my 3 & 1 year olds means we’re serving breakfast at 3 different times… which is amazingly easily if I’m dishing out a protein packed Chobani Kids Greek Yogurt pouch. Pull from fridge, pop the top and serve. Thankfully Chobani is a great breakfast snack since it’s 25% less sugar* than other kids yogurts.
Lunchtime and snack times aren’t any easier because my 3 & 1 year old girls start having their schedules separate. My 1 year old Harlow needs that noon time nap, while my 3 year old Harper is ready to play, do arts and crafts or just dance… again she’ll need to eat and snack. She’s a picky eater liking the sweeter things in life, so we dice up some berries and fruit add a tube of strawberry Chobani Kids Greek Yogurt and she’s ready to rock till late afternoon snack or maybe even dinner time.
One thing we love doing in my house is squeezing the tube of Chobani into giant drops on wax paper and freezing them. After a couple of hours in the freezer you have this amazing frozen drops to snack on that the kids will love and with no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives you will love them too.
When my son gets ready for bed he’s always craving that before bed nighttime snack and he does love something cold. We have been taking the entire tube of Chobani Kids Greek Yogurt and freezing it for him, he loves that it’s a frozen yogurt stick made with only natural ingredients.
* Chobani Kids® Pouches, 10g Of sugar per 3.5oz (99g) serving; leading kids’ yogurt, 14g Sugar per 3.5oz (99g) serving. Chobani Kids® Tubes, 6g of sugar per tube; leading kids’ yogurt, 9g Sugar per tube.

What happens when you take the biggest blockbusters in cinema and add it to a legendary building toy company? You get LEGO Jurassic World: The Indominus Escape, a five part animated short that has been releasing one episode per a day this week on the Jurassic World YouTube channel and at JurassicWorld.com
I’ve been a major fan of Jurassic Park since I was in high school and got to meet Michael Crichton. Who doesnt love a story about bringing back dinosaurs, the struggle of nature vs man. Jurassic World was a great relaunch of that adventure in my mind but not really what I’d like my younger child to watch.
I’ve just finished watching the first three episodes and it been a blast to watch (Click here to watch the trailer!) They do a great job of blending LEGO humor with the Jurassic World science. This episode is the most pivotal of the entire series, as it shows Indominus rex – the smartest, biggest and scariest hot dog-loving hybrid dinosaur ever created escape. Gather your kids around a screen and enjoy this kid friendly take on Jurassic World… What kid wouldn’t love to see the largest LEGO Dinosaur chasing a guy dressed as a hot dog around?! First there was Daredevil, then came Jessica Jones, Netflix is back today with Luke Cage, a new series devoted to the character that was first introduced in Jessica Jones. This is the hero you’ve been waiting to see, you’ve seen how Netflix handles great hand to hand fight scenes but we really haven’t seen powers.
Luke Cage in my thought is even better then the prior Marvel shows on Netflix, Why? Cause here is a guy with real powers coming to learn how to use them and why to use them a true origin story of a hero.
Mike Colter’s presence as Luke Cage is perfection. Rosario Dawson makes an appearance as Claire, a cross over character between the Marvel shows.
Like other Marvel shows there is a dark edge but with moments of humors (which is the signature of Marvel entertainment). The fight scenes are still amazing and you’ll be binge watching this series for sure!
