Rocking out to Baby Loves Disco

Rocking out to Baby Loves Disco

This past Sunday we had an opportunity from @NYCityMama to attend Baby Love Disco [Link]. It Rocked! Think about an adult club made into a kid’s playhouse.  They played games with the kids such as limbo and dance off, which where not for my kids age group but that didn’t stop Marc. My kid was a dancing Machine, I can see him performing in Stomp right now!

Ok first how in the world did Marc learn to dance like a total white boy? Doing the hand rolls, finger snaps, and the fist bump! Due to timing we took off a little early, his nap time hit him with a little over an hour left to the party! Still he had a great time.

Lets break it down, the event will SELL out! Dont wait for tickets, go with another couple… because if you remember going to the disco you could barely hear anything back then and now you’re older and you have screaming/dancing kids rocking out.  Its not the best place to meet new people.  I thought it made for a great birthday party, if you can swing the date!

First time to an arena sporting event: MSG New York Rangers

First time to an arena sporting event: MSG New York Rangers

Today was a big milestone for Marc it was his first major sporting event.  He loved it (at least I’d like to think so)… Marc is now 19 months old, we didn’t do baseball with him last year because he was a little young. We’ve taken him over the last year to a few live shows/concerts and he seemed to liked them.

I finally said its time pulled the pin and took him a major sporting event! The best part is that it was at Madison Square Garden (MSG).  Ok I hear my Yankees & Mets fan getting upset already… but to me I have a ton of memories from watching the islanders play against the rangers as a kid being taken to MSG for games or the circus (which is coming soon!).

Sure the seats where in the 300’s but it wasn’t about watching the game and we didn’t stay for the whole game made it in to the very end of the second period.  It was the fact that Marc sat on my lap watched the Rangers while eating bites of a hotdog.

This summer we’ve got big plans together… I haven’t been to either of the new baseball stadiums in New York (Yankees or Citi-field) we will be going to both.  This is just the start of the memories of major milestones in Marc’s sporting history but it will be a great beginning and will make for great stories.

In advanced (and a little belated) to the people we seat behind, I’m sorry that Marc will at some point accidentally kicks you in the head. I kid… I kid…

March Madness is here [screaming fans sounds] its been a pretty good college basketball season and the tournament is going to be great this year! Stayed tuned as I’m hosting a DaDa Rocks tournament bracket, but today we’re talking about the how to watch the games at work, on the go, at your friends kid’s birthday party, and even in the bathroom (TV in the bathroom is perfection) with the CBS Sports NCAA March Madness On Demand app [iTunes]

The best part of all the changes in AT&T made it so that it doesn’t require a Wi-Fi connection to stream live games. Now you can watch over 3G or even EDGE.

The app is a little pricey at $9.95 but what would it cost to loose your job from sitting at the bar all day watching the games.

I had this app last year loved it although wasn’t crazy about the limited Wi-Fi but now having this be on 3G I cant wait, I’ll be taking the bus home from work which should add some quality game time to my commute home.
