Every time I see these Milk Verse commercials I laugh… my son really cracks up – so I have another good one to share this week…

As a child whenever I wasn’t feeling ok my mom made me chicken noodle soup and of course it was Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup. When Campbell reached out to me to be an ambassador – I was honored. Of course being compensated is an added bonus but like all things on this website – my thoughts are my own and if I don’t like something I’m not going to post about it. Campbell and their soups have been part of my life for over 30 years and they are part of my child’s life.
You might have started to see the “wisest kid” commercials pop up on TV. Personally I love the bit it’s great, like having a conversation with my know-it-all 5 year old. Yah Dad I know-how… Really a moment ago you were counting on your fingers to figure out 3+4 but you know why the internet isn’t working… Yah welcome to my home.
Campbell had a big Times Square kickoff event where they had the Wisest Kid in the Whole World on hand to answer questions (image).

Milk does a body good its a phrase I was raised on… and I think my wife too from the amount of milk we down in our house. A little while back I was asked to attend the kick off of a new ad campaign called Protein Fight Club.
I’m certain you’ve seen an ad or two by now. It’s the concept of Milk Vs. <pretty much anything> and its LOLable. At that event I was able to interview WWE superstar Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
By far my fav is Milk Vs. Orange juice – just makes me want to try this challenge out on my 5 year old and film his reaction. itwould be classic his head would exploded I’m sure.
Over the next few weeks you’ll see a few of these protein milk post as part of a sponsored program but please note I post because I personally love milk and the thoughts are my own.

Last week I was invited to take Hot Wheels video game for a test drive and man the graphics are awesome the cars handled great – reminds me of some of the best driving games on the market but with one major improvement — it comes with the HOT WHEELS name… you know if I wanted to drive real cars – I would just drive real cars – the great thing about Hot Wheels is this cars are such beasts they could never exist. What car could do a double loop.

If someone told you to test toys – you’d be jumping at the chance too – sadly this isnt the movie Big and double sad face I’m not doing this full time but every once in a while I get invited to test out some toys… I was invited by Battroborg to do just that – try out their new battling wireless robots (keep reading for the review and a giveaway) but even better was to make a match out of it against another daddy blogger Drew Bennett of BenSpark.com. Thanks to the Dads of the New York City Dads Group we made a night out of with the Game Truck coming by and packing it full of dads for a much needed dads night out!
Battroborg are wireless motion controlled robots that have sensors that detect “damage” and then shut down once a winner does enough damage. The motion remotes are design one for each hand and as you move them you control the robot (its pretty awesome!)
There are a ton of different robots and each robot has its own special punching mode. Personally I found these to be a lot of fun although Drew did beat me in the end – it was an epic fight and we did go best of 3 matches and he won 2-1.
This is a great gift for the kids and dads this holiday season…. if you can get your hands on a set.

As many just started heading back to school many still are just getting out to start shopping… I know I’m still waiting on lists of items to buy. Well you might have heard about these spike backpacks or the cool bubble ones yup those are two of the trendiest back packs of the last two to three years… but this year its all about the blok.
Blok looks like a tetris collection of geodesic shapes…. its amazing for anyone who played tetris as much as I did to have a child wearing that to school.
Lets also talk about the backpacks with spikes there are two different versions the Later Gator and Spiketus Rex. Just as cool as a koopa trooper from back in the day.
Finally there is bubbles – it looks great with half formed spheres all around the bag.
Whichever bag you pick out you cant go wrong the colors are vivid which looks awesome. Plus there is three sizes mini which is great for those in pre-k. The Half pack which is awesome for those in Kindergarten and that need to carry a change of clothes for afterschool classes. Back to school time for me has usually turned into a new electric razor… I wont bore you with the story about why I use electric razors but I have used them since I started to need to shave… so every year heading back to school or back to college – it was new razor time…. Smurfs 2 opens in theaters on July 31st. The follow up to the first “Smurfs” movie made in 2011 – which you can get on iTunes if your little ones want to see how it all began. While Smurfs 2 intro into the movie does make it a stand alone film having watched the first Smurfs movie certainly does help.
In this sequel to the hybrid live action/animated family blockbuster comedy The Smurfs, the evil wizard Gargamel creates a couple of mischievous Smurf-like creatures called the Naughties that he hopes will let him harness the all-powerful, magical Smurf-essence. But when he discovers that only a real Smurf can give him what he wants, and only a secret spell that Smurfette knows can turn the Naughties into real Smurfs, Gargamel kidnaps Smurfette and brings her to Paris, where he has been winning the adoration of millions as the world¹s greatest sorcerer. It’s up to Papa, Clumsy, Grouchy, and Vanity to return to our world, reunite with their human friends Patrick and Grace Winslow, and rescue her! Will Smurfette, who has always felt different from the other Smurfs, find a new connection with the Naughties Vexy and Hackus or will the Smurfs convince her that their love for her is True Blue? My son really enjoyed the whole movie – he was bopping his head to the music by Britney Spears and was really enjoying the ride. While there is a 3D version of this movie (which we saw) the effects werent over the top and really just added to the experience.
My favorite part was the slow motion Neil Patrick Harris ganster walk with the smurfs to go get their girl back.
