My son loves cheese… my son loves popcorn… so if you put them together like Pop Secret did, then needless to say I never even got a crumb to eat.
Like anyone born in the 1980s we grew up loving star wars and of course what we loved when we were children, some how becomes what our children love. Marc loves the concepts of star wars and so seeing one of his favorite characters on a bag of popcorn that happens to be his favorite flavor – like wow.

Kids Creative is an award-winning nonprofit organization that offers arts based, peace education programs for Pre-K to High School age students through after school programs, workshops and summer camps. They teach kids they rock! They believe that a better, more peaceful future is achievable by teaching youth the creative, critical thinking and social skills necessary to make peace within themselves and society. The mission of Kids Creative is to foster the 6 C’s of peacemaking in youth: Confidence, Creativity, Conflict Resolution, Community, Collaboration and Cookies through arts education programs, live music and theater events.
At summer camp, kids write their own original plays, write their own music and gain the confidence to perform their creations in front of peers and family at the end of the week.
Kids Creative‘s Summer Day Camp runs from July 6th to August 14th. Kids can join the camp for 2, 4 or 6 weeks. Summer Camp is located at the Ideal School which is located at 314 West 91st Street, at Riverside Drive. Days run from 9am-4:30pm. Parents can do early drop off at 8am. They offer early pick up at 3pm and late pick up for parents who need to work at 6pm. The camper to staff ratio is 5:1 except for the Activists, the Middle School group which has a ratio of 10:1. Swim and music lessons are also available.The camp size is 100-120 campers. Lunch is provided by the NYC Summer Lunch Program. They also take many field trips. Past field trips have included The Bronx Zoo, The American Museum of Natural HIstory, Broadway costume designers, theaters and a trip to see a DirtySock Funtime Band concert. They also welcome visitors during camp and parent escorts on trips. There’s always something new around the corner with Skylanders, and this year is no exception! Buckle your seatbelts, because the new Skylanders SuperChargers (available 9/20) puts vehicles front and center– a mechanic never before offered by the Skylanders franchise.
Skylanders SuperChargers is set to feature twenty vehicles total across three categories (land, sea, and air), as well as twenty new SuperChargers, Skylanders who can interact with the vehicles in a special way. While any Skylanders character can drive the new vehicles, each SuperCharger pairs with a specific vehicle, and when both are on the portal together it triggers special bonuses, giving the character and the vehicle extra power.
The Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack will come in two forms: the Standard Starter Pack and the Portal Owner’s Pack. The game’s standard edition will feature the game, portal, and three characters– vehicle Hot Streak, SuperCharger Spitfire, and SuperCharger Stealth Elf– while the Portal Owner’s Pack will bring a new digital option to the table. For about a year one night a week I’d stay up review some current events and bounce ideas off my cohost over the phone. The next night we’d setup some webcams and video chat using skype (along with a skype recording software). That recording was then edited up and uploaded to vimeo… the results were great – we had thousands attend a live stream, those videos were replayed thousands of time. Here are some brief tips…
