Mega Bloks Skylanders Giants Zeppelin Air Ship Assault

Mega Bloks Skylanders Giants Zeppelin Air Ship Assault

SkylandersIf you’re kid is 4 and older and even a little bit into video games theres a good bet they’re in love with Skylanders.  The characters are cool and most of them are heroes…ok maybe anti-heroes but still heroes.  Those little sculptures that interact with the game — dont really play nice with little kids – so the team at Mega Bloks solved that with these amazing play-sets.

Grab the cannon and take aim – Eye Brawl needs to shoot down an attacking Drow Zeppelin with Zeppelin Air Ship Assault by Mega Bloks Skylanders Giants. The buildable Drow Zeppelin is an aerial menace to Skylanderseverywhere. Eye-Brawl’s got his eye on it and needs to use his cannon to shoot the Zeppelin down to deal with the collectible translucent Troll Greasemonkey pilot.

Ideal for kids aged 5 and up.

Pregnancy Check List

Pregnancy Check List

suzanne-pregnant-2The decision to start a family was a big one. We knew it would mean lots of change and a full 180 from the lives we knew and were comfortable with. But that was about where the definites of what we knew stopped.

Well, with the benefit of hindsight, I’ve written up checklist for the expecting dads out there or those of you thinking about starting your own family. Let’s call it the “Your Life’s About to Change, Dad” checklist Enjoy:

  1. Pregnant – Become such. This may be obvious but just a reminder: it does have to happen.
  2. Torture – She’s about to endure nine-months of it so be sure to stock up on your sympathy. You can practice by holding an ice cube for two minutes – they say that’s the closest most men will come to experiencing the pain of labor cramps.
  3. Future – Talk about it. The naming battles are just the beginning. Don’t fear the future.
  4. Diaper Bag – You’re going to carry one so make sure you’re comfortable with its look and feel.
  5. Stroller – You’re going to push one. Be the man and figure out the brakes and how to make it collapse with a flick of your wrist.
  6. Stem Cell Banking – Have a conversation with your partner and doctor about cord blood. It can save lives so I highly recommend saving it. There are payment plans galore to make it work if your budget is tight.
  7. Nursery – Pick your battles. If you care about design, then make sure you get this right. Otherwise, let your partner lead and you focus on what you’ll be using the most – the changing table.
  8. Logistics – From adding things to your insurance to making sure you get time off, dot your I’s and cross your T’s.
  9. Photography – Trust me, you’re going to want those first few weeks documented for a lifetime because they fly right by. Find a professional you like and set up a shoot.
  10. Diapers – Learn everything you can about how to change them because you’re about to do it a lot.

So I loved this movie! My Son loved this movie (he’s 4.5years old) we saw the 3D version and it was some great 3D that had him standing up at points trying to catch some of the 3D effects.

Why did I love this movie – it was a very cute story about a family and really that centers around the father. Grug is a total caveman…. but he’s the protector the strong guy.  It’ll bring a tear to your eye when you watch the movie… The movie is great about making you laugh the whole way through.  The relationship between Grug and his Mother-in-Law makes you giggle but the heart of the story is Grug having to deal with Eep growing up.

I really think this was one of the best Dreamworks Animated movies ever! The movie has an amazing cast of voices and even cuter characters who I hope ends up with their own spinoff cartoons – keep you eyes on Belt truly one of the funniest characters in this movie.

IMG_3977-resized-600If you dont possibly think this movie could be amazing for dads – I’ll prove it to you that the National Fatherhood Initiative gave Grug an award.

Take the family and go see this movie and if try to tell me you dont come out saying…

Bob Gear introduces its first four-wheel stroller the MOTION

Wed, Sep 5, 2012 1:35:06 PMFollowing BOB’s 15-year focus on its signature “jogger” strollers, the MOTION’s lightweight aluminum frame represents the company’s most compact design and  complements the BOB joggers as a daily stroller.

Made for everyday freedom, the MOTION is designed for parents on-the-go.   From the first day of parenthood, the MOTION is ideal for active family outings, including trips to the park, as well as the mall or playgroups. Helping parents juggle the chaos that accompanies parenting, the MOTION features a one-hand, quick-fold with an automatic frame lock and a padded, adjustable handlebar for effortless maneuvering.

The new stroller includes the BRITAX Click & Go integrated adapter for convenient attachment to the BOB B-SAFE in matching BOB fashions or BRITAX Infant Car Seats. When coupled with the BRITAX infant car seat adapter frame (sold separately), the MOTION is compatible with a variety of infant car seats to seamlessly create a complete infant travel system.

Appropriate for children from birth up to 65 pounds, the MOTION offers a padded, supportive seat with an adjustable head-pad, a five-point harness system and an infinite seat-recline. Durable pneumatic tires mounted on high-impact polymer wheels and a rugged independent spring-suspension system absorbs bumps in the road.
