Keeping the family connect with holiday offers for Verizon’s FiOS Home & Mobile Services

Thanks to Verizon for sponsoring this post about keeping the family connected during the holidays.

2020 its been some year… actually pretty crazy year for our family personally, lots of family moving to different states (most of it not because of the pandemic) but its been a year of differences. Like many families seeing family and friends have been challenging (if not completely nonexistent).  Thankfully 2020 offers us a ton of technology to keep us connected.

Each of us has screen times issues these days but if thats the only way to stay social and connect outside of our homes, pods, inner circle friends. Marc has been on video games chatting away for hours with friends that he’s knows from school and some he’s met online playing the games (thats a much larger conversation for another time). Harper and Harlow facetime with family, and for Mother’s day we got the facebook portal and have been connecting with their GG (great grandmother – Ma) once a in a while to check-in.

All while we’re working remotely, learning remotely, and streaming the entire Netflix. HBO Max library… so having incredible internet speed is everything to us.  I think my last count was 30 devices are usually connected to our wifi at any given time… being able to watch TV without buffering is a pretty important issue for the adults, and also a 5 year old who watches all of those Ryan’s surprise egg videos.

We’ve been a FiOS Home for years and we love it. We’ve really never had major outages (which is a major change from our last internet provider) and never impacted by the weather. This holiday season Verizon has you covered with some incredible deals. This holiday season the deals are better than ever, get rewarded when you combine your Verizon mobile and Fios Home Internet Plans. For new customers, save $30/month with select plans* when you get both within 30 days of each other. Plus, get $10/month** to put toward your next hone or tablet. Choose the plans that are right for you and get rewarded – today.

The Ultimate Tech Holiday Gift Guide #VZParent

The Ultimate Tech Holiday Gift Guide #VZParent

Every year its a bit harder to shop for people there are sooooo many amazing choice of what products to pick up for who and where… Worry no more because I’ve partnered up with Verizon to bring you an ultimate gift guide for anyone that loves technology.  Most of these items can be found in store but all these items are available right now on their website.

Wireless headphones are a must these days…Some phones dont even have a headphone jack anymore, so here are two choices: over the head and in-ear.

For the in-ear headphones:  I’ve been crushing hard on these Bose SoundSport Free, they’re completely wireless. Comes in three colors Orange/Navy, Black, and Navy/Citron (my personal favorite). Shop from Verizon.

For the over the head: You cant wait on a subway train during rush hour and not see at least two or three of the Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Headphones II on people’s ear.  The noise cancellation feature is some of the best around and will turn a large noise subway car in to a little more then a mumble and imagine taking that on a flight. Shop from Verizon.

I carry one almost everywhere I go these days cause no matter how new my phone is that battery never lasts long enough… sure I’m a power user on instagram and twitter all day long but by 6pm if I have plans to go out at night I’m needing to recharge my phone.  the mophie powerstation plus 6000 with Switch-Tip Cable is perfect for both android and apple products and will give you two additional charges. Shop from Verizon.

Now if you’ve gotten a new phone in the last year or so you’ve heard it has the ability to charge wirelessly but it comes with a cord to charge… so rarely do people splurge on a wireless charging pad which makes them a great gift.  mophie charge stream pad plus is optimized for Apple, Samsung and other Qi–enabled smartphones. Shop from Verizon.

I’m sure by now you’ve seen someone with a smart watch but this year apple announced that their watch no longer needs a phone to connect to the internet (sure an additional monthly fee for a smart device will apply) but thinking that you can call from a smartwatch that is now fully waterproof is pretty amazing. I love how this version comes with an enhanced heart rate app too.  Shop from Verizon.

These are just a few of my favorite things and you can find a ton more great gifts over on Verizonwireless.com and in the Verizon stores this holiday season.  PS. if anyone gets me anything off this list for my holiday gifts, you win 😉

Verizon FiOS is joining Disney Movies Anywhere #FiOSNY

Verizon FiOS is joining Disney Movies Anywhere #FiOSNY

dmaContinuing efforts to provide more ways to buy and watch your favorite Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars movies at home or on the go, Disney Movies Anywhere today announces the addition of Verizon FiOS, the first TV distributor to join its cloud-based digital movie service platform.

Verizon FiOS customers in the U.S. can immediately, seamlessly connect their digital movie collections across the Disney Movies Anywhere ecosystem and watch them from the living room or a wide array of mobile devices, as well as purchase directly from Verizon FiOS on supported Disney Movies Anywhere platforms.

Pretty much if you’ve purchased a Disney movie from iTunes – it will now play on FiOS and if you purchase a Disney movie on FiOS you’ll see it on your Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA) app, in iTunes (ready for download), and all the other wonderful platforms (see below).  So this is a really cool win!

Viewers can enjoy their digital movies from the comfort of their living room and across multiple mobile platforms by simply adding the free DMA app or channel to their devices, such as iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android mobile phones and tablets, Android TV, Amazon’s Fire tablets, Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Roku, and Xbox 360, and connecting to their DMA account with participating providers including iTunes, Amazon Video, VUDU, Google Play, Microsoft Movies & TV and Fios by Verizon.
