A few weeks ago I gave everyone a good scare (myself included) and as I tweeted from the hospital the King himself gave me a gift of an XBox 360 & Kinect, I was trying to win one just like everyone else. I cant wait! It’s by far the most popular video game gift of the season.
I went to my friends at Burger King (because they partnered with Microsoft for the release of this amazing game system) and asked if I could share the joy of giving a family a Kinect prize pack because this will really help out with their holiday shopping! Of course was their answer!

John Tartaglia’s Imaginocean is an amazing show for kids 2 and up. The story of 3 fish is highly engaging to the kids as they’re super bright in colors based on the blacklight approach the show takes. Its interactive as many times the puppets break the 4th wall to interact with the crowd.
The story is great for kids as it adds some mystery as the main characters are taken on a treasure hunt. There are of course morals being shown to kids during each of the acts. Be it sharing or not being afraid the show incorporated story, song and more into a very fun filled time.
I totally recommend this show for kids as young as two years old, I took my 27 month old and he loved it! The characters are something that you’d figure would be in a disney movie and as such my child really wants a Dorsal doll. John has put together an amazing cast of voices that do a great job bring the characters to life.

School of Rock (the leading music education school for kids ages 7-18) and the cast of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages are teaming up for a special performance to promote awareness for the Children’s Miracle Network. Dee Snider along with cast mates from ROCK OF AGES are set to perform a special afternoon set at the Gotham Comedy Club on Thurs. Nov. 18 from 4-6pm. The kids will actually be playing with Dee- and their set list is to include : “I Wanna Rock,” “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” “Sister Christian,” “Here I Go Again” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
If you’ve never seen the SoR kids perform you really have to! Is what I’ve been told and so when I saw that these two groups got together to help a charity I was like yes, let me be part of this!

Have you heard of Tegu? Most of you are now shaking your head saying Huh?! Te-what? and to be honest thats how I felt until I saw these toys at the ABC kids expo a few weeks ago in vegas. These are really simple shapes of wood that have magnets buried inside of them.
So they click together with the magnetic bonds and the ability to play and build stuff has been great. My 2 year old hasnt stopped playing with them. Tegu recently kicked off this Live webshow of a master builder taking requests to build almost anything! There are many things I really like about this campaign – 1) is it shows you how to build these items yourself so you can become a building master and impress your kids 2) it really shows off a great use of social media for a product that isnt necessarily a toy that would be on social media.
Tegu blocks are wood so they are not just going to crack open and a really durable, the block sizes makes it hard for a child to choke on them… they’ve become a perfect toddler building gift in my mind. Here’s the one thing they’re a little pricey starting at $40. The newest line is of these color blocks which are totally super cool.
