BlogHer is by far one of the largest social media events in the nation, it started with a primary focus “Her” the social media revolution was truly a women’s movement. Sure, I heard such things as Dad is the new Mom (I laugh cause I think about the great SNL sketch where it was Black is the new bitch! [Link]) and of course I was asked (more then once) why do I feel like its proper that I would attend a women’s conference (this one usually I had a friend in earshot come over and assist with the defense and once or twice I just walked away). Stuff like that happens its life… its a new paradigm in the parenting social space where there was once just a handle full of dad bloggers over the last two years there have been an explosion. Which I am part of… I clearly admit that this website is less then a year old, but the success that it has received in terms of viewership, readers, interactions is nothing but impressive.
While at blogher I met tons of famous faces in the social media space…
Then I meet some famous real social media people…
I’m sure there are tons of people who I’ve should have taken pictures with… and really this was just tongue and cheek at who’s really famous – clearly my son knew the first few 😉
This is one of my favorite parts of what blogher is about sure every conference has sometype of end of conference party – not a social media conference they party everynight, but the last night they go for the gold with a brand sponsored party to end all parties SparkleCorn & Cheeseburger (the latter is sponsored by McDonald’s)

if you’d like a picture in high-res just send me an email with the file name (from the low-res version!)
So great to meet you! I think we should have a google off at every conference. LOL This time I promise to spell something correctly. 😉 Glad you had fun and tell the people who asked why you were attending to shove it up their stats. I think you and the other daddy bloggers are more than deserving of the recognition you got in NYC.
I missed some of those shots, I didn’t see Dora (although I did the personalized shirt and I LOVE It) and when I approached Marmaduke I was told by his um…handler….that he was officially on break! LOL Thanks for sharing your pics! I for one was glad to see ‘Dads’ in attendance!
OK, so the best picture, IMO, is the one with Dora. May I blow that up (and cut you out of it?) for my daughter? 😉 Glad you had a blast!
I see me!
Those are fantastic pics!! Wished I could’ve been there and I’m so glad you had a blast!
Thanks for representing us “guy” bloggers at BlogHIM I mean BlogHER lol
Nice meeting you at Hair Rules. Your son is a doll. Great pics!
What a great recap, I love the photos!
It’s always fun to see you, you’re such a great guy.
🙂
Awesome pics!! So glad to have met you!!
Great pictures. What a great weekend. So fun hanging with you… see you at @Debedale’s wedding in 3 years, ‘kay? (and, of course, before then, too!)
So glad you made it to CheeseburgHer! Your photos are fantastic. Hope you had a blast! 🙂
You are the AWESOME!
I loved your McDs bag hat; you clearly fit in just fine!
I am so flattered that you think I am a famous real social media person when I am really just addicted to Twitter! I was just thrilled to meet you IRL after our 140 character conversations. I hope I’ll see you in IRL in San Diego where I will absolutely come to your defense about being a guy at BlogHer!
Dude- you need to put the pic of us on Facebook and tag me, it’s such a great picture! We’ll have to get together for dinner or something-
Great pics! And can I be the first to say that I truly find Ronald McDonald terrifying?
Cuz I do.
Glad you had fun. Not sure that I’d want to go to a conference that is so clearly marketed towards women. Nothing wrong with that, but sometimes it is easier to swim with the current than upstream.
You took so many really great pics, it was great to get a chance to finally meet you in NYC!
Did you touch Pop ‘n Fresh’s tummy? It really makes that “whoo-hoo!” sound. No I didn’t molest him…
Hey sorry for missing you at the conference. I felt like I was running the whole time. Phew BlogHer is definitely something else. Glad you had a great time and I love the pictures.
