Ever since Cisco announced Umi [amazon] I’ve wanted one – its just perfect for a family like ours – I have in-laws that are across the country and we try to use skype and facetime without much luck from time to time but I think something sooo simple as being plugged into the TV should make it so much easier to get connected for the grandsparents to have a virtual playdate.

    I would connect my mama (in FL) with My baby (in CA). My mama has only seen Kenzie twice since she was born. I try to send pics but convenience of phone = semi blurry pics. This seems way cool!

    My wife’s parents live in Philly and my parents live in Pittsburgh. I’m having a child in 3 months and live in a NYC apartment. Thus, having them visit routinely is impossible (nowhere to sleep). Also, I look great in HD.

    I would love to relocate Florida closer to NYC, but when I can’t I am constantly taking digital pics to email. I would love this for my husband to stay connected with our 10 month old daughter while I travel to Florida for work. While I am in NYC with my husband my mum, grandmother and sister are missing my baby. I am sure this unit will be put to great use!
