The above video shows off the newly-announced Spider-Man Play Set, coming to Disney Infinity 2.0 this fall! The Spider-Man Play Set will feature a storyline which follows the Green Goblin as he tries to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D. once and for all. After capturing Venom to extract and clone symbiotes from him, he hires Mysterio to be his second in command and wreak havoc on the Marvel universe. Players will fight the spreading symbiotes and face Mysterio and Green Goblin in in the sewers, labs and skies above Manhattan. Key highlights for the Spider-Man Play Set include:
Play Set: Playable characters include Spider-Man, Nick Fury, Iron Fist, Nova and Venom with additional appearances by White Tiger, Black Cat and Luke Cage. Players will be tasked to destroy the cloned symbiotes and advance to fight Mysterio.
Toy Box: Spider-Man, Nick Fury, Iron Fist, Nova and Venom will be playable in the all-new Toy Box 2.0 mode of the game, along with all characters previously released for Disney Infinity. Players will be able to use these characters, plus hundreds of Marvel and Disney-themed items, locations, props and vehicles, to create new adventures in customized worlds. Once players complete the Spider-Man Play Set, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Hover Car, S.H.I.E.L.D. Sky Cycle, Daily Bugle Building and more will be unlocked and can be used in Toy Box.
The Spider-Man Play Set will be available in retail stores this fall. Additional Play Sets and characters will be announced in the coming months.
On the heels of the E3 gaming conference in California, Disney Interactive Studios and Harmonix have announced that the highly-anticipated game Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved will be released on October 21, 2014. in the above trailer, you can get a look at the new game, including a peek at a new area called “The Neighborhood.”
In “The Neighborhood,” players will work their way through a restrained 2D urban cityscape, using music and magic to unleash a vibrant and magical 3D environment by interacting with billboards, rooftops, trains and other surprises hidden within the city landscape. Through this mind-bending experience, players will watch and listen as their movements create bold colors and whimsical music that make “The Neighborhood” a fantastical adventure.
The latest announced tracks from a range of award-winning artists that will appear in-game include:

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved will be available this fall for Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Last night, at an event spearheaded by Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg, the gaming company announced the next game in the popular Skylanders series. Titled Skylanders: Trap Team, the game allows players to utilize a new class of Skylanders called Trap Masters to thwart Kaos’s latest plan to take over the Skylands.
Central to the new game is a fresh mechanic that lets players “trap” certain enemies with the aid of the redesigned portal and another new addition to the series, trap crystals. Created from the “traptanium” that flew to earth when Kaos blew up Skylands’ most infamous prison, the trap crystals can be inserted into a specific groove on the portal; doing so enables players to capture specific enemy characters once they have been defeated. Using the trap crystals, players can access the villains caught within them, turn these enemies to their side, and then play as such favorites as the Chompy Mage (who first appeared in Skylanders: Giants), Chill Bill, and yes, even archvillain Kaos himself.
Discussing the development of this new feature, Hirshberg stated that the idea came about as an extension of the groundbreaking and innovative design that has been a hallmark of the Skylanders license since the brand’s inception in 2011. “Previously we’d brought toys to life by letting what happened in the physical world impact the digital world,” he said, “and now we get to bring life into the toys by letting what happens in the digital world affect the physical world.”
Also on scene at the event was Richard Barry, EVP and Chief Merchandising Officer of Toys “R” Us, who confirmed that the retail chain would be continuing its partnership with Skylanders. Barry announced that we will be seeing new Legendary figures at Toys “R” Us in conjunction with Trap Team, as well as other new exclusive Skylanders merchandise. He concluded by stating that the game, which hits shelves on October 5th, is now available for pre-order at Toys “R” Us, both in stores and online at ToysRUs.com.
As a final note, Eric Hirshberg said that working with Skylanders has given his team the opportunity to “make kids say ‘wow!’ for a living,” and I can certainly say that Skylanders: Trap Team is sure to make kids of all ages (including some adults!) say “wow!” when it releases this October.
Skylanders: Trap Team is now available for pre-order on all major video game consoles.
Finally for all those families that have loved the Skylanders in their prior two games the third installment in this series is out today 10/13/13. I will confirm that all skylander figures for both Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure and Skylanders Gaints will work with in the newest edition of Skylanders Swap Force.
There are dozens of new figures for this Swap Force universe the big segment is the new Swap Force characters themselves. For that dont know the top and bottom have swap creating 4 characters out of just 2. so there is a total of 16 swap force characters and that’ll give you over 256 combinations.

The game makes you think and move all at the same time – its a little tough at times and certainly not for kids younger then 6. I enjoyed the game play value and it certainly got me into rivalry with my wife fast enough. There are some challenges that I just found really hard myself but I have been playing with it seeing if I can improve my “brain age” so there is a replay value there…. but I think its ideally great for having friends over and playing it like a party game or being able to show off the kinects skills.
