Beat Bugs is an Emmy award winning animated kids series created by Josh Wakely featuring music inspired by The Beatles. Currently a hit on Netflix, the story revolves around the lives of five best friends, charming and funny childlike bugs who explore and learn in their suburban backyard home. Each episode ties in a song made famous by The Beatles in an innocent and child-friendly fashion, sung by one of the characters or guest stars that include mega musicians like P!nk, Sia, Jennifer Hudson, Rod Stewart and more. Beat Bugs introduces a new generation to the music of the most influential band in rock history, The Beatles!
Beat Bugs and My Gym have struck a chord to activate a musically-inspired promotion at 178 My Gym locations in United States, United Kingdom and Australia this summer. In the months of June and July, children who attend classes at My Gym will enjoy Beat Bugs music, games and other fun activities, including coloring sheets and puppet shows.
Updated 7/13/17 check out this great behind the scenes look at the show…
First there was Daredevil, then came Jessica Jones, Netflix is back today with Luke Cage, a new series devoted to the character that was first introduced in Jessica Jones. This is the hero you’ve been waiting to see, you’ve seen how Netflix handles great hand to hand fight scenes but we really haven’t seen powers.
Luke Cage in my thought is even better then the prior Marvel shows on Netflix, Why? Cause here is a guy with real powers coming to learn how to use them and why to use them a true origin story of a hero.
Mike Colter’s presence as Luke Cage is perfection. Rosario Dawson makes an appearance as Claire, a cross over character between the Marvel shows.
Like other Marvel shows there is a dark edge but with moments of humors (which is the signature of Marvel entertainment). The fight scenes are still amazing and you’ll be binge watching this series for sure!
On Netflix recently we saw 2 major releases that are totally worth your time to binge on, both of them are returning for season 2. The great thing about season 2 means there are over 10+ hours of content prior to jumping into the new season.
Daredevil the hero from Marvel comics jumps right into were season 1 left off. I really don’t want to spoil anything, so I wont but the “man without fear” is back at the top of his game, fighting crime and taking back his neighborhood of Hell Kitchen (in Manhattan, New York). Season 1 was amazing in the way it was filmed, how the script came together and how the action/fight scenes were epic. Season 2 doesn’t disappoint, with the introduction of a few of the best Marvel comic other heroes.
Bloodline is a drama… a murder mystery hardcore DRAMA… at the end of many episodes of season 1 you’ll say what incredible talent and what an incredible story. Season 2 also take off from the end of season 1 focusing on the surprise conclusion of season 1. Kyle Chandler is outstanding in his role as the lead of the Rayburn family.
I grew up with Danger Mouse, it had a over 8 years running starting in 1981.
The concept of the show was Danger Mouse, the greatest secret agent in the world, must follow Colonel K’s orders (and try not to break Professor Squawkencluck’s inventions) to foil Baron Greenback’s and his henchman Stiletto’s plans.
Now there isnt much difference in the plot between the original version verse the new version on netflix. Tbe big difference is the CG style animation, which looks pretty awesome.
I’m super excited to introduce my son to one of my favorite cartoon characters growing up – watch Danger Mouse on Netflix.
While most people would love to forget what they looked like in the 80’s (come on those fashions?!). There is one part of the 80’s that many find nostalgia for, which is the television shows… I dont know what it was but those 80’s generated many megahit TV shows… some carried on well into the 90’s. Full House was a great example the changing times and modern family dynamics.
Well thanks to the super smart people at Netflix we now have a 6 episode season of Fuller House, pretty much fast forward 10 plus years later. The show still lives up to the nostalgia factor for sure… its also pretty amazing how none of the cast has aged at all.
